College of Wooster offers accelerated nursing master鈥檚 degree through partnership with Case Western Reserve University鈥檚 Bolton School of Nursing

969直播 has partnered with Case Western Reserve University鈥檚 Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing to provide Wooster students with an accelerated pathway to a Master of Nursing degree.

The partnership allows Wooster students interested in nursing to complete a 3+2 or 4+2 program, allowing them to choose three or four years of undergraduate study at the College and then immediately apply their liberal arts education as a nursing student in a globally recognized program in nursing education and research. Working closely with pre-health advisors, students complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at Wooster and enroll in Case Western Reserve School of Nursing鈥檚 master鈥檚 program with no application fee and receive a merit-based scholarship toward tuition.

鈥淭he liberal arts foundation that Wooster students gain allows them to bring a holistic perspective to the nursing profession that supports comprehensive patient care,鈥 said Ashley Kistler, provost and chief academic officer at Wooster. 鈥淭his relationship with Case Western Reserve allows our students who are interested in nursing and health professions to build on the foundation they receive at Wooster through a streamlined path.鈥

Open to students from all majors who complete the prerequisite courses and meet academic requirements, Wooster students studying in areas such as biology, biochemistry & molecular biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and public health will find the streamlined pathway to a master鈥檚 degree in nursing a natural fit with their interests. The partnership also connects students to undergraduate research assistantships and job shadowing opportunities with professors at FPB.
